City of Angels continues in Connecticut! I'm in the Angel City 4 quartet, but it CLOSES NOVEMBER 27th! Come on up to Goodspeed for a jazzy, very sexy, tight-harmony-filled real vs reel life musical!

Blog Entry - Mega Update: "City of Angels," Marquee Five, Definitely Dickens, and the best place *ever* for breakfast.
For a nice overall write up of what's been going on in my life lately, check out my latest blog entry at sierrainnewyork.blogspot.com. I had a wonderful time understudying Nancy Anderson as Donna/Oolie (could not ask for better leading men to work with than DB Stine and Burke Moses), and had a joyous time celebrating the debut of Marquee Five's CD! Read all about it! And speaking of Marquee Five...

REVIEW: "Marquee Five: Manhattan Transfer for the New Millennium?" (oh & order Marquee Five's "8-Track Throwback" CD!)

At the Laurie Beechman Theater November 7, 2011 - photo by Adam Jason www.adamjasonphotography.com
Off-Broadway Producer, reviewer, and Cabaret enthusiast Stephen Hanks has just written up a gorgeous review of "8-Track Throwback" and a history of Marquee Five for the Times Square Chronicles. He attended our CD Release Party, got his own copy of the CD, and now compares Marquee Five to Manhattan Transfer! Read the full review, and here are some quotes:
In Marquee Five, I knew I’d found my Manhattan Transfer for the new millennium...
Five terrific and complementary voices are just parts greater than the sum of the whole unless the charts are tight, clever and compelling and Hemming's arrangements are consistently first rate...
"Marquee” is the appropriate moniker for this group of smooth, synchronized and powerful singers who seamlessly blend together for a magical musical brew. There’s little doubt their names will be showcased above a theater entrance somewhere very soon.
To get your own copy of "8-Track Throwback", download the PDF form and follow instructions on how to order it. Amazon.com and iTunes will be carrying the CD in the future as well. Perfect as gifts for the holidays! And, speaking of holidays...

Definitely Dickens Co-Hosts The Salon December 11th
Four of the five members of Marquee Five (and currently portraying the Angel City 4 in "City of Angels" at Goodspeed Musicals) started out as part of the Definitely Dickens Holiday Carolers, and on December 11th, we'll be co-hosting Mark Janas' The Salon, my favorite weekly open entertainment event. Come and get into the holiday spirit, sing your own favorite holiday (or non-holiday, or even anti-holiday) song, and see the four of us in action.
Thanks for reading!
