Senator, Because of your choice to vote “No” in today’s Marriage Equality Act voting, you will not get my New York vote in the future. I have too many friends, family members, and loved ones who are being treated like second-class citizens. My husband and I are able to enjoy full citizenship but not my friends and other family members? Your act today is a shameful one, and many of my New York friends from across the state are listening, seeing your actions, and will adjust their votes accordingly to reflect a new future of tolerance and legal freedom.
